The O’Grady’s founded Creek Side Gardens in late 2006 after purchasing the former Garden Trails property from the McNitt family. In 2012, we were joined by Will Knowles, a veteran in the industry. Will has taken the reigns as our GM and Head of our Growing Operations. Will brings an abundance of knowledge, experience and passion to Creek Side Gardens. In 2015, Will joined us as a partner.
Our Story-About Creek Side Gardens
We opened Creek Side Gardens in March 2007 and haven’t looked back… ok, maybe a few times! With little sleep, a young son and an old dog, we embarked on a journey to create a community focused greenhouse and garden center in the heart of Littleton. With 5 acres, several greenhouses, “Godzilla”-our soil mixing machine, a babbling creek framed by a huge Cottonwood climbed frequently by our son, we dubbed our new venture, “Creek Side Gardens”.
We started simply, rooted in the belief that being connected to the earth, to each other and to our community enhances our lives and those around us. We believe that life is full of beauty and promise and adventure. We live this every Spring as our young plants begin to grow and the winter slowly fades into the promise of warm sun on our faces and new growth under our feet.
We believe that plants and flowers and the spaces they create enrich our lives. They provide us a quiet place to de-compress after a stressful days work, they provide us a beautiful place to connect and socialize with friends, they create a common ground that encourages respect for each other. They invite us to breath, relax and enjoy the beauty of life.
